About Ritter Governance Advisory
Effective governance is not learned through policies and boardroom discussions alone. It is developed through difficult decisions, competing priorities, disagreement, accountability, and responsibility for outcomes.
Ritter Governance Advisory brings community association boards an independent perspective shaped by lived board leadership, elected public service, and decades of legal and regulatory experience.
As a condominium board president, Francine navigated the same difficult decisions, competing priorities, leadership dynamics, and community pressures that boards face today not merely as an observer, but as a peer.
Service as a former elected Councilwoman deepened her practical understanding of transparent decision-making, public trust, accountability, and principled leadership.
Francine’s legal career, including experience in SEC Enforcement and at JPMorgan, brings rigor, discretion, and disciplined judgment to complex governance challenges.

Before founding Ritter Governance Advisory, Francine Ritter served as president of a condominium association board. She balanced competing priorities, worked alongside property management and professional advisors, navigated difficult decisions, and experienced firsthand the responsibility boards carry for their communities.
That experience shaped the firm’s central belief: professional advice is essential, but the board must still ask the right questions, weigh competing considerations, and exercise its own sound judgment.

Public office required transparent decision-making, accountability to diverse stakeholders, responsible stewardship, and principled leadership under public scrutiny. Those lessons continue to inform every Ritter Governance Advisory engagement.
